The incumbent works effectively with various internal departments, all levels of management, the customer, external legal partners, and others. The successful candidate can identify, articulate, and capably respond to nuances in customer contracts and agreements and solicit input from various internal departments in a timely fashion. Additionally, this candidate is responsible for working with our legal partner to upload, tag, and pull reports for the sales team related to existing contracts in the ContractWorks platform.

The Contracts Specialist has responsibility for the business aspect of customer contracts – working closely with the Content Marketing Manager to review redlines from our legal partner to ensure a customer-friendly version is ready for timely submission with RFPs or outside the RFP process and keeping the Vice President of Marketing abreast of any considerable risk negotiations.

HYBRID/REMOTE: Tyndale supports a strong work-life balance. This opportunity requires onsite work a minimum of 1 day per week, and 4 days per week remotely. To be considered, candidates must reside within a commutable distance from our Tyndale headquarters in Pipersville, PA (Bucks County) or our location in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), exceptional attention to detail, and organizational skills are necessary for the management of multiple documents, components, and requirements.
Works closely with our outside legal partner to ensure timely responses to customer contracts.
Works closely with our internal IT team to ensure timely and accurate responses to data security questionnaire.
Collaborates closely with the marketing team to ensure contract language and data security language aligns with other key areas of the RFP.
Ensures contracts are uploaded, tagged, and searchable in our contract management software, ContractWorks.
Proactively and regularly updates policies and procedures related to data security practices.
Collaborates effectively with all levels of management, both internally and externally.
Ensures that brand positioning and messaging is consistent in contract commentary.

The Contracts Specialist will have the opportunity to refine Tyndale’s contracts process, which includes elements of the following:

ContractWorks Reporting: the Specialist will be an expert utilizing and navigating our ContractWorks platform and will proactively and regularly create and pull reports to be shared with our sales team and other internal departments as needed.
Streamlining Review Process: the Specialist will be instrumental in following our current contract review process and will help identify ways to streamline to process potentially through a third-party “ticketing” option.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree in paralegal studies, communication, or another business-related field
5+ years of experience in a law office. Experience with technical and legal documents is preferred
Stellar communication skills are a key requirement of this position
Strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, and organization are necessary skills to meet the expectations of this role
B-to-B or B-to-C experience preferred
Data analysis and reporting experience
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with ContractWorks or similar contract management system preferred.
Organized with ability to multi-task and think outside of the box
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a fast-paced team
Strong integrity, with a commitment to their word
Ability to prioritize projects, work effectively within short time frames, and never miss a deadline
Self-starter and detailed oriented; ability to work independently and make appropriate recommendations and judgment calls

Pay: $85,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
