Counsel for Creators LLP is a law firm that works with creative businesses. We guide creative people who want to optimize their business and have a clear vision of how to reach their goals. Our clients are involved in some of the most cutting-edge and interesting pursuits in the arts, entertainment, and creative industries. We support them with our transactional practice on matters involving copyrights, trademarks, entertainment projects, business setups, and contracts. We also run an innovative legal services product – the first-ever legal membership program for creatives.

We are looking for a full-time legal assistant/paralegal to join our team.
Qualifications:
1-3 years experience working at a law firm or in-house. This experience should include some combination of the following: drafting contracts; trademark prosecution; copyright registration; business entity formation; entertainment-related transactions; and licensing agreements.
A completed Paralegal Studies certificate or degree may substitute for extensive experience. We are willing to train promising candidates who meet our other requirements.
Demonstrated experience with art, technology, or entertainment industries in a legal or non-legal capacity is preferred.
The ideal candidate should be able to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision and revision.
We need someone with a proactive attitude who is willing to take ownership of client projects and see them through to completion and who can manage multiple projects at once.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable interacting with clients by phone and email.
We are looking for someone to start on a full-time basis. Pay is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Proficiency or familiarity with the following software and platforms would be a plus: Clio Manage; CRM software (e.g., Capsule, Salesforce, etc.); Trademark software (i.e., Markify, Altlegal, etc.); USPTO, Copyright Office, and CA Secretary of State filing systems; and Slack.

Fully remote position. We have weekly meetings online that you’ll be required to attend.
