The Iowa County Clerk of Court’s Office is currently seeking applications for a full-time Deputy Clerk of Court. Essential duties include maintaining papers properly deposited with the Court, preparation of certain Court Calendars, maintaining database records in the Circuit Court Automation Program (CCAP), generation of reports for the database, and appearing in Court to perform administrative services. Hours are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Mon. – Fri. Pay range is $25.40/hr. – $29.03/hr. and a very generous, comprehensive benefit package is provided.
Minimum qualifications for the Deputy Clerk of Court position include but are not limited to the following: high school diploma or GED, two years of job experience in Court-related or legal office setting, demonstrated proficiency in the use and operation of a personal computer and Microsoft word processing programs in a business or government office setting. Preference for an Associate’s degree in administrative professional, legal secretary, information systems, accounting or related fields. Applicants must submit to a background check of their criminal record prior to hire for Deputy Clerk of Court position and other Court-related positions.
