Syntax Talent Solutions is working with a growing law firm adding a Litigation Attorney who must have five or more years of litigation experience in business or commercial finance (preferably securities) to join their practice as a senior associate hoping to join the partnership. This candidate should be able to handle matters with confidence and actively participate in formulating legal strategy (competently reviewing and drafting discovery, motion practice, witness preparation, taking and defending depositions).
Trial experience and sophisticated motion practice are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
– Represent clients in securities litigation and other legal proceedings – Conduct thorough legal research and analysis – Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials – Develop and implement effective litigation strategies – Provide expert legal advice to clients – Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation or arbitration – Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff – Maintain
up-to-date
knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends
Qualifications:
– Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school – Active license to practice law in the state of Illinois – Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation – Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules – Excellent written and verbal
communication skills
– Strong analytical and
problem-solving
abilities – Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively – High level of
professionalism
and ethical standards
Preferred Skills:
– Experience in specific areas of litigation (e.g., commercial, business law, financial, securities – Familiarity with electronic discovery (eDiscovery) tools and processes – Strong negotiation and mediation skills –

of successful case outcomes
