We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented North Carolina attorney to join our team as a 1099 Independent Contractor. If you enjoy practicing law but would rather spend your time working cases and litigating than marketing for new clients, this opportunity is designed for you. We provide the clients. You focus on practicing law.
In this role, you will leverage your extensive legal expertise to manage a diverse range of cases across multiple practice areas including but not limited to Landlord-Tenant Litigation, Homeowners’ Association (HOA) and Condominium Law, Real Estate Litigation, Contract and Business Disputes, and General Civil Litigation.

Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all phases of litigation cases, including case strategy development, discovery, depositions, motions, trial preparation, and trial.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case arguments and ensure procedural compliance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents including contracts, pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity.
- Prepare clients for court depositions, hearings, and trials by developing effective advocacy strategies.
- Maintain detailed case management records, ensuring all documentation is accurate, organized, and compliant with legal standards.
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, gather information, and clarify case objectives while managing expectations professionally.
- Stay informed about developments in various practice areas handled.
Your proactive approach and strong advocacy skills will be essential in providing exceptional legal counsel, conducting thorough research, and representing clients effectively in court proceedings.
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina law license in good standing.
- 3+ years of civil litigation experience preferred.
- Proven experience in litigation across multiple practice areas including contract drafting, trial preparation, and procedural law knowledge.
- Strong legal research, writing, and courtroom advocacy skills.
- Demonstrated success in legal negotiation and advocacy with a focus on client communication.
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
- Professionalism and excellent client communication.
