GENERAL LITIGATION ATTORNEY WITH TRUST AND ESTATE PLANNING
Job description:
Cross Ocean Technologies, Inc. has an immediate opening for a General Litigator with Estate and Trust Planning experience. You will be assigned to our extensive client base, becoming part of our growing practice, utilizing sophisticated litigation techniques on behalf of clients from Oakland, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and beyond. This role offers opportunities to learn from and develop skills alongside leading Estate and Trust practitioners.
REQUIREMENTS AND DETAILS:
Minimum 1-5 years of General Litigation experience, with a focus on Estate and Trust Planning and Litigation, representing clients through all phases of litigation.
Broad experience with complex estate, tax, and wealth strategies.
Equivalent experience in tax-oriented real property and transactional practices is also eligible.
Main areas of litigation include Trust, Estate, and Tax planning for individuals and families, estate administration, income tax, transfer tax, charitable planning, as well as pass-through entities (LLCs and LPs) and succession planning.
Requires excellent communication, drafting, research, and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Licensed in California with expertise in California tax law.
Strong work ethic, ambition, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure with diverse personalities.
Experience working collaboratively with lawyers, paralegals, and clients.
Client service orientation and responsiveness are essential.
Relevant financial background pertinent to the client base and transactions.
Compensation:
Starting salary negotiable
Two weeks paid vacation and two weeks paid PTO
Paid twice per month
Option to work 2-3 days from home
Position operates on billable hours
