A well-established, full-service law firm in the Hartford area is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its growing Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights practice. What You’ll Do

  • Represent financial institutions, businesses, creditors, and other clients in bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters.
  • Handle contested hearings, motion practice, pleadings, and legal research in both state and federal courts.
  • Assist with commercial litigation matters related to insolvency, collections, and business disputes.
  • Develop litigation strategy and manage cases from inception through resolution.
  • Communicate directly with clients while providing practical, business-focused legal advice.
  • Collaborate with experienced attorneys on complex legal matters while taking on increasing responsibility.


Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active Connecticut Bar admission, or ability to become licensed promptly.
  • Approximately 3–5 years of experience in bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, or commercial litigation.
  • Candidates with a commercial litigation background and a genuine interest in developing a bankruptcy practice are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong legal research, analytical writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Professional demeanor, sound judgment, and a commitment to outstanding client service.
