Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 100 international law firm seeking a 2nd to 4th year Litigation Associate Attorney to join its New York NY office on a hybrid basis.
This role focuses on sophisticated commercial and financial services disputes for institutional clients, with meaningful involvement in research, pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, hearings and broader case strategy.
The platform offers a structured, partner led litigation environment with high drafting standards, strong training and the opportunity to work on complex disputes across a range of venues and procedural stages.
The Opportunity
You will support active commercial and financial services litigation matters from early case assessment through discovery and dispositive motions. Responsibilities are expected to include legal research, drafting pleadings, motions and briefs, managing discovery and ESI workflows, preparing for and participating in depositions, assisting with hearings and working closely with senior lawyers on strategy and client communications.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a 2nd to 4th year Litigation Associate Attorney with:
- 2 to 4 years of commercial litigation experience gained in an Am Law 100 setting, ideally including financial services disputes
- Admission to the New York Bar
- Strong writing and analytical skills, including experience drafting pleadings, motions and briefs
- Excellent academic credentials from a highly regarded law school
- Ability to meet an annual billable target of 2,000 hours
- Federal clerkship experience or New York state court experience would be helpful

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this role is $225,000 to $290,000, depending on class year, experience and other relevant factors.
