About the Role
A respected law firm is seeking a mid-level Litigation Associate to join its Commercial, Regulatory & Public Law practice in West Palm Beach, Florida.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with strong litigation experience who is looking for greater responsibility, direct client interaction, and meaningful involvement in sophisticated, high-impact matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cases and individual litigation matters with increasing independence
- Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, and other substantive legal documents
- Conduct and oversee written discovery and motion practice
- Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and client strategy meetings
- Work closely with partners on litigation strategy and case development
- Conduct legal research and analysis involving complex statutory and regulatory issues
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, regulators, and other stakeholders
Practice Areas
The practice includes:
- Commercial and corporate litigation
- Contract disputes and business torts
- Fiduciary duty claims
- Partnership, shareholder, and governance disputes
- State and federal regulatory investigations and enforcement matters
- Administrative proceedings and challenges to agency action
- Appellate matters
- Pre-litigation strategic counseling
Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of litigation experience in state and/or federal court
- Experience drafting dispositive motions and managing discovery
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Active membership in the Florida Bar, or ability to obtain admission promptly
- Demonstrated ability to manage litigation matters and meet deadlines
Preferred:
- Experience at a leading law firm, litigation boutique, or government practice
- Judicial clerkship experience
- Government or regulatory litigation experience
- Experience with commercial, corporate, administrative, or public law matters
