Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig (DBL) is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney in our Vienna VA office. The ideal candidate must have excellent writing and research abilities, and be comfortable taking and defending depositions, appearing in court, arguing motions, drafting pleadings, and managing deadlines.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience with all aspects of litigation, including briefing and motions practice, taking depositions, working with experts, patent office proceedings, trial proceedings, etc

Represent the interests of clients in litigations in state courts, a federal court, or a federal administrative agency

Supervise and conduct complex legal research and analysis

Capable of day-to-day case management

Collaborate in case strategy discussions

Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, interrogatories, and other legal correspondence and litigation documents

Take and defend depositions

Communicate and work with local counsel

Qualifications:

We seek individuals who are driven, possess a desire to develop and invest in their careers and the Firm, and demonstrate superior client service skills

Litigation experience preferred but not required

MUST have courtroom experience in Fairfax County and NOVA area

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school

MUST be admitted to the Virginia State Bar

Commitment to abiding by local, state, and federal laws and behaving ethically

Ability to work independently or with a team of attorneys to develop case strategies

Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, and communication skills

Attention to detail and commitment to excellence

Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills

Candidates applying should have outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
