Job Title : Legal Assistant (Onsite)

Purpose:
The Legal Assistant provides legal, administrative, and clerical support to the OUCC’s technical staff and attorneys. This role ensures efficient document management, case tracking, and compliance with established standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and process case-related documents and records.
Support attorneys and technical staff in legal filings, discovery, and motions.
Maintain and track case calendars, deadlines, and filings.
Organize case files for hearings and ensure proper document distribution.
Assist in scheduling meetings and conferences.
Maintain spreadsheets, databases, and Microsoft Dynamics records.
Handle general administrative tasks (mail processing, filing, copying, etc.).
Serve as a frontline administrative contact for public and external inquiries.
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Adobe PDF, SharePoint) for document creation and modification.
Perform other assigned duties.
Job Requirements:
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Sensitivity to confidential legal information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint) and familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics.
Ability to work independently and in teams.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; some college or vocational training preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Professional, organized, and self-motivated work approach.
Work Environment:
Office-based role with standard physical demands (filing, typing, reading).
Requires interaction with OUCC staff, IURC staff, utility representatives, and the public.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $24.00 – $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.00 per week
Schedule:
8 hour shift
