Role Description The Litigation Associate role at ABC Legal is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The associate will handle a range of litigation tasks, including drafting and arguing motions, conducting legal research, preparing and assisting with depositions, and managing case files and evidence in coordination with the firm’s digital tools. Responsibilities include collaborating with Principal Counsel and other team members to develop case strategies, attending court hearings and conferences, and maintaining accurate documentation and timelines. The role involves regular interaction with clients through structured updates, supporting transparent communication and effective case management. The associate is expected to contribute to process improvements and apply technology-driven solutions to enhance litigation efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Strong foundation in Law, with knowledge of civil and commercial litigation principles.
  • Ability to draft, review, and argue Motions and other pleadings effectively.
  • Proficiency in legal Research, including case law analysis and statutory interpretation.
  • Experience preparing for and supporting Depositions, including witness preparation and evidence organization.
  • Familiarity with Courts procedures, filing practices, and courtroom protocols.
  • LLB or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution; enrollment with the Bar Council as applicable.
  • Fresher to candidates with 2 yrs of experience in litigation
  • Requirement to travel to Bhakti Park, Wadala
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present arguments clearly.
  • Comfort with legal technology, document management systems, and AI-assisted research tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, manage multiple deadlines, and exercise sound professional judgment.
