The Deerfield Beach, FL location is seeking a full-time, detail-oriented and proactive Litigation Assistant to assist the attorneys with a variety of tasks for our NY/NJ team. This role requires excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calendaring and preparing for court proceedings.
- Handling incoming legal mail.
- E-filing legal documents.
- Maintain litigation electronic databases including uploading key case documents and emails.
- Daily handling of assigned productions and confirming all action codes and status codes assigned are completed timely and accurately.
- Obtain information required to comply with requests for production of documents.
- Maintain key case deadlines within the firm’s system of record.
- Prepare and process legal documents and business communications as needed.
Desired skills and experience:
- 1-2 years of related legal assistant experience in a corporate or law firm environment is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrate an ability to successfully manage competing priorities, with experience creating systems to stay organized.
- JST system a plus.
- Organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must be driven, ability to multitask and work independently and as a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
