Job Summary
Bleakley Bavol Denman & Grace, an expanding AV-rated, Florida law firm, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented personal injury paralegal / legal assistant to join our legal team and work onsite on our beautiful North Tampa campus.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in premises and personal injury law and be proficient in managing case files, requesting medical records, and assisting attorneys in preparing for trial. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of our law office and providing exceptional support to our clients.
Duties Include
Conduct communications with clients, opposing counsel, and judges.
Finalize and e-file court documents.
Draft non-complex notices, motions, and subpoenas.
Draft discovery requests and responses, including compilation of responsive records.
Request, review, and process records / discovery.
Perform all tasks related to scheduling of CMEs and IMEs.
Conduct background and online research related to facts of the case, case witnesses, statutory requirements, and procedural rules.
Trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and coordinating with witnesses.
Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when interacting with clients and other parties involved in cases.
Qualifications Required
Minimum of 3 years as a litigation paralegal.
Insurance defense litigation (i.e. auto negligence, premise liability, professional liability), in Florida.
Proven experience executing billable tasks and entering time accordingly.
Experience with trial preparation and trial attendance is preferred.
