As our Compliance Manager, you’ll be the cornerstone of risk management and legal compliance across all operations. You’ll safeguard our portfolio by overseeing insurance, licensing, regulatory filings, evictions, vendor contracts, and legal disputes.

What You’ll Do:

Team Collaboration & Culture

Participate actively in weekly Team Meetings, Accounts Payable (AP) meetings, and Manager 1:1s.
Serve as a cultural ambassador, modeling the company’s values of integrity, excellence, and collaboration.
Foster positive, solution-oriented communication across departments.

Insurance & Risk Management

Oversee annual insurance review, renewal, payment, and bill-back processes for all businesses and properties.
Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with insurance brokers and review policies annually.
Manage the tracking and verification of certificates of insurance for all commercial tenants and service vendors.
Procure performance bonds for construction and development projects when necessary.

Legal Case Management

Manage the residential and commercial eviction process in partnership with external attorneys and property managers.
Handle legal filings, court case management, and oversight of settlement negotiations.
Assist the Billing Department in resolving vendor and municipal billing disputes.
Administer and track legal documents, including Notices to Cure, settlement agreements, and lease terminations.
Stay current on changes in eviction legislation; revise company processes and documentation as needed.
Support business licensing for manufactured housing (MH) sales, dealership registration, and salesperson certifications.

Compliance Reporting & Regulatory Filings

Ensure corporate compliance by maintaining Secretary of State registrations, entity renewals, and business licenses.
Prepare and submit regulatory filings, including Form D Blue Sky Registration and EIN creation.
Conduct post-closing compliance reviews related to local and state incentive programs.
Manage compliance databases, including MHC Title Certifications, Abandonments, LTO/POH tracking, and installation permits.
Supervise compliance operations related to Wastewater Treatment Plants at designated properties.
Lead periodic compliance training sessions for property management teams to support education and reduce risk.

Vendor & Contract Management

Build and maintain high-performing vendor and contractor relationships.
Lead negotiation and renewal of service agreements to ensure favorable terms and high-quality deliverables.

Personal Property Tax Support

Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to validate POH lists for personal property tax billing accuracy.

Administrative & Leadership Support

Manage and distribute incoming mail, emails, and general inquiries promptly.
Support the Managing Partner’s engagement with professional associations by coordinating monthly industry event attendance.
Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for company-owned assets (laptops, phones, vehicles, etc.).
Assist with internal and external brand management efforts to uphold the company’s reputation.

What We’re Looking For

Required Experience & Skills:

3+ years of compliance, legal, risk management, or property management experience (real estate background preferred)
Strong understanding of insurance processes, eviction procedures, and regulatory filings
Exceptional organizational and project management skills
Proven ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with legal counsel, government officials, vendors, and internal teams
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with legal or compliance tracking systems
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Risk Management, or related field
Paralegal certification or equivalent work experience
Experience with manufactured housing operations or multifamily property management
