Role Description
This is a full-time, remote role for a Legal Support & Tech Specialist at Founders Doc.
In this hybrid role, you will sit at the intersection of traditional legal support and legal-tech innovation. You will assist with preparing, reviewing, and organizing legal documents related to early-stage company operations and fundraising, while actively contributing to the development and testing of our upcoming AI tool.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Legal Support: Assist lawyers with drafting, formatting, and reviewing standard legal documents; maintain accurate client records, track document versions, and manage critical deadlines.
- AI & Tech Development: Actively support the development and training of our proprietary AI legal tool. This includes building/formatting basic HTML pages, structuring data, and testing AI outputs for accuracy.
- Client & Workflow Coordination: Manage routine client communications, coordinate administrative tasks, and ensure a smooth, organized workflow across multiple client matters in a fast-paced environment.
- Research: Conduct basic legal, factual, and tech-related research as needed to support team objectives.
Qualifications
- Legal Foundation: Strong background in Law and genuine familiarity with corporate or startup-related legal concepts
- .Document Proficiency: Experience in legal document preparation, including sharp formatting skills and a hawk-like eye for accuracy and consistency
- .Tech-Forward & Adaptable: Comfort with digital tools and a strong willingness to stretch beyond traditional legal tasks. You should be open to (or eager to learn) basic technical skills like building HTML pages and interacting with AI development workflows
- .Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Solid analytical skills to interpret information, catch errors, and strictly follow detailed instructions or compliance checklists
- .Administrative Excellence: Proven ability to manage digital files, organize records, and keep multiple moving pieces on track in a remote setting
- .Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-focused approach
- .Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field. Prior experience in a law firm, in-house legal team, or startup environment is highly advantageous
