We are a niche Government Litigation and Lobbyist Law Firm located in Albany, NY, seeking an Entry-Level Associate Attorney to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a highly specialized practice area involving administrative law and liquor licensing. (We will consider brand new 1st Year Attorneys and those taking the Bar Exam in 2025. We fully intend to train you in our niche practice area!).
About Us:
9-attorney law firm with 18 total employees.
Located in the heart of Albany, NY, the state capital.
Specialize in administrative law, representing businesses in licensing and compliance matters before state authorities, including the State Liquor Authority.
Clients include bars, restaurants, cruise ships, airlines, grocery stores, and other businesses navigating liquor licensing issues.
Position Details:
Assist in handling liquor licensing applications, compliance, and defense cases.
Manage administrative law matters, including filing paperwork, compliance documentation, and occasional hearings with Administrative Law Judges.
Collaborate with senior attorneys and the department head to learn and manage liquor licensing cases.
No billable hours!
Qualifications:
JD from an accredited law school.
Admitted to the NY Bar or taking the NY Bar in 2025.
1-3 years of litigation experience preferred, but entry-level attorneys (including recent law school graduates) will be considered.
Compensation:
Salary: $75,000 – $90,000, depending on experience.
Annual performance review.
