Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Florida barred Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in debt collection defense. This role requires excellent legal research and drafting skills, as well as the ability to litigate effectively on behalf of clients.
Duties
Represent clients in court proceedings, negotiations, and mediations, advocating for their interests effectively.
Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis to support case preparation and strategy development.
Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements with precision and attention to detail.
Provide legal advice to clients regarding their rights and obligations under applicable laws.
Manage case files efficiently in Clio, ensuring all documentation is organized and up-to-date.
Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies and share insights on complex legal matters.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in Florida.
Proven experience in litigation and familiarity with consumer debt defense preferred.
Strong skills in legal research and writing; proficiency in using Lexis-Nexis is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey legal concepts clearly.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in legal drafting and case management.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
