About the Role

Position: Contract Attorney (Part-Time with Path to Full-Time)
Focus: Civil tax matters—audits, appeals, and judicial proceedings

What You Will Bring

Education: JD required (Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or taxation a plus).
Licensure: Licensed to practice law, preferably in California; eligible to practice before the Tax Court.
Experience: 1-3 years of legal experience, particularly in tax law.

Skills

Proficiency in financial statement and tax return analysis.
Expertise in IRS and California tax regulations.
Strong discretion, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
Stellar communication and relationship-building abilities.

Your Role

As a key member of our team, you will:

Analyze clients’ tax situations and develop resolution strategies.
Respond to government tax notifications and document requests.
Provide up-to-date advice on tax laws and regulations.
Lead client meetings and recommend actionable strategies.
Delegate tasks to paralegals and legal assistants as needed.
Independently manage client projects while collaborating with the team.
