Litigation Specialist – Pennsylvania Sexual Abuse Litigation

Champions for The Injured is seeking a seasoned Litigation Specialist, with experience as a Legal Assistant, to join our Pennsylvania Sexual Abuse Litigation Team. We are looking for an organized, proactive self-starter who takes ownership of their work, thrives in a high-volume environment, and communicates with clients with empathy and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with survivors regarding highly sensitive and confidential matters in a professional, trauma-informed manner.
- Manage and organize a high-volume caseload, including deadlines and client needs throughout case milestones.
- Draft discovery responses, including fact sheets, interrogatories, requests for production/admission, and supplemental discovery.
- Obtain, review, and organize medical records and other client documents.
- Assist with finalizing motions, pleadings, subpoenas for filing and helping attorneys to prepare for depositions and trial. .
- File using Pennsylvania’s various electronic filing systems (i.e., Philadelphia and Allegheny Counties Efiling systems, among others) and Pacer.
- Maintain accurate case information in SmartAdvocate, SharePoint, and other firm systems, and proactively identify deadlines, missing information, and potential issues.
Qualifications
- Excellent writing, communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong attention to detail, technology skills, and willingness to learn new systems.
- 5+ years of paralegal, legal assistant, personal injury, or litigation experience preferred, but not required.
- Very proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint).
- SmartAdvocate experience is a plus.Candidates selected for interviews will be asked to complete Wonderlic and Kolbe assessments. Pay: $58,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
