ABOUT BLUESTARS: BlueStars is seeking a highly qualified Legal Specialist. This role is responsible for establishing the legal framework, managing compliance, and mitigating legal risks across the company’s international trade operations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in protecting intellectual property rights and preventing legal issues in global markets.

  • Position: Legal Specialist
  • Salary: 20,000,000 – 30,000,000 VND/month + Project Bonuses / Risk Prevention Bonuses.
  • Location: 3rd, 4th, 5th Floor, Hop Phat Building, 72 Nguyen Van Tuyet, Dong Da, Hanoi.
  • Working Hours: Morning: 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM, Afternoon: 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM. Monday – Friday (7 hours/day, 2-hour lunch break). Closed Saturdays and Sundays.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Intellectual Property (IP) Protection & Brand Enforcement:

  • Handle registration procedures, establish rights, and manage the company’s international intellectual property portfolio, including Copyrights, Trademarks, and Patents (primarily focusing on the U.S. market).
  • Develop brand protection strategies across digital platforms; proactively monitor, identify, and report/take down IP infringements caused by competitors.

2. Content Review & System Risk Mitigation:

  • Conduct in-depth reviews of all content, terminology, and legal agreements (Terms of Service, Privacy Policies, etc.) displayed on the company’s e-commerce channels.
  • Identify and rectify legal loopholes promptly to prevent international disputes, litigation, and account suspensions.

3. Contract Management & Operational Compliance:

  • Directly draft, vet, and negotiate international commercial contracts and partnership agreements (NDAs, supplier agreements, logistics contracts, etc.).
  • Research, analyze, and apply U.S. commercial law and e-commerce regulations to day-to-day business operations.

4. Dispute Resolution & International Litigation:

  • Actively participate in or liaise with local counsel/law firms to handle disputes, complaints, lawsuits, or Temporary Restraining Orders (TRO) issued by competitors or regulatory bodies in global markets.
  • Manage appeals against policy violations on e-commerce platforms to safeguard the company’s legal rights and assets.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, International Commercial Law, or related fields. (Overseas graduates or candidates from English-taught programs are highly preferred).
  • 3 to 5 years of practical experience in corporate legal departments or law firms specializing in Intellectual Property or International Trade Law.
  • Big Plus: Previous experience in E-commerce (specifically Cross-border E-commerce, Amazon Selling), Import-Export, or the Technology sector.

2. Professional & Language Capabilities:

  • Fluency in professional Legal English
  • Solid foundation and capability to deeply research and apply Common Law systems
  • High attention to detail: Meticulous, cautious, and accurate in dealing with legal texts, terminology, and documentation.
