Role Description
DAO Music Entertainment is seeking a legal specialist responsible for advising on and executing legal activities related to intellectual property management, commercial contracts, music copyrights, legal risk management, and business operations support. The role ensures that all of DAO’s activities comply with legal regulations and maximizes the protection of the company’s interests.
+ Handle corporate legal procedures, such as business registration, trademark registration, and other permits related to the company’s operations and events.
+ Draft and review corporate legal documents on an ongoing basis and/or upon request.
+ Draft and review contracts and legal documents related to the company’s production and business activities, including
- Contracts entered into by the company with partners and clients.
- Drafting and developing standard contract templates for areas such as production, cooperation, distribution, music publishing, rights licensing (including copyright), media, and other service contracts tailored to the company’s business operations.
- Documents and notices issued by the company, as well as internal procedures and regulations.
+ Advise on and adjust legally relevant procedures issued by the company or its departments.
+ Analyze and assess risks in contracts within the music and media sectors and advise departments on appropriate courses of action.
+ Collaborate with the IP legal team to advise on handling complaints and disputes arising from contract performance, address copyright infringement cases, and consolidate/review contracts for the registration of musical works with relevant parties.
+ Research, update, and disseminate relevant legal regulations to ensure the company’s operations remain compliant.
Qualifications
- Salary: Negotiable
- Bachelor’s degree in law or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in music, entertainment, or media law.
- In-depth knowledge and experience regarding intellectual property, copyright, and licensing.
- Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills.
- Working hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday
