KoinSayang is looking for a highly qualified Legal Specialist to manage and oversee all legal matters within the company. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in a law firm environment and will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, managing legal risks, and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide legal counsel on all corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters, particularly those related to cryptocurrency, finance, and fintech.
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, terms of service, and memoranda.
Ensure the company’s activities comply with applicable Indonesian and international laws, including but not limited to corporate, finance, data privacy, and intellectual property laws.
Liaise with external legal counsels, regulators, and government authorities as necessary.
Research and analyze legal issues impacting the cryptocurrency industry and provide timely advice to management on evolving laws and regulations.
Represent the company in legal disputes, ensuring a favorable resolution.
Conduct due diligence and provide legal support for any mergers, acquisitions, or corporate restructuring initiatives.
Manage internal legal audits and ensure that the company maintains proper legal documentation and filing systems.
Liaise with regulatory authorities and external auditors, responding to compliance inquiries and audits.
Work closely with legal and financial departments to ensure compliance with reporting requirements and regulatory submissions.
Provide training and guidance to internal teams on legal matters.
Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Law from a recognized institution.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a law firm, with a focus on corporate law, fintech, or cryptocurrency matters.
Previous in-house experience in a tech or financial services company is a plus.
Proven experience in dealing with contract drafting and negotiating.
Licenses/Certifications:
Licensed to practice law in Indonesia or in another relevant jurisdiction.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of Indonesian and international cryptocurrency laws and regulations.
Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple legal projects and meet tight deadlines.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Good command in English is a must.
Excellent writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a law firm dealing with cryptocurrency, financial technology, or digital assets.
Strong knowledge in the Financial Services world will be preferable.
Proven track record of providing legal advice in complex, high-stakes environments.
