Overview
A global advanced manufacturing and technology company is seeking an experienced Legal Specialist to provide interim support across a diverse portfolio of businesses spanning electronics, aerospace & defense, automotive, semiconductors, clean energy, bioprocessing, medical devices, and related industries.
This role will partner closely with legal counsel and cross-functional stakeholders to support employment, litigation, compliance, and regulatory matters in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day legal and compliance support across multiple business units
- Support employment-related matters, including employee relations, investigations, separations, immigration, and related litigation
- Partner with HR, Compliance, business leaders, and outside counsel to manage investigations and mitigate legal risk
- Support litigation and dispute resolution activities, including litigation holds, subpoenas, discovery coordination, and outside counsel management
- Conduct legal research and analysis related to employment, regulatory, trade, sustainability, privacy, and EHS matters
- Draft, review, and manage legal documents and related workflows with a high degree of accuracy
- Identify legal and operational risks and collaborate with counsel on mitigation strategies and process improvements
- Provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance to internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a corporate legal department, law firm, or compliance function
- Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Law, or related field (or equivalent post-baccalaureate certificate)
- Experience supporting employment law, litigation, and/or regulatory compliance matters
- Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and managing legal documentation
- Ability to operate effectively in matrixed, cross-functional organizations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting manufacturing, healthcare, medical device, aerospace, semiconductor, or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with EHS, sustainability, trade, or privacy-related legal issues
- Prior experience working closely with HR and compliance teams
