About the Role: A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property (Patent) Transactions Attorney to join its team. This position is ideal for a legal professional with a strong background in patent acquisition, licensing, and litigation funding, as well as corporate structuring for IP transactions. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with extensive experience in high-stakes patent transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage complex patent-related transactions, including acquisitions, licensing, and litigation funding deals.
Provide strategic legal counsel on IP transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate governance requirements.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on sophisticated IP matters and business structuring.
Negotiate and draft agreements related to patent rights and technology transactions.
Must-Haves:
Education: Juris Doctor from a Top 30 law school (no bottom 50% of class, GPA 3.0+)
Law Firm Experience: At least 3–8 years at a Top 200 AM Law firm
Bar Admission: North Carolina State Bar preferred
Hybrid Work: Typically 3 days in-office (varies by practice group)
