Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in West Hempstead, NY for a Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant.

Answer and manage incoming calls with professionalism and empathy

Schedule appointments and manage calendars

Handle filing, mailing, and document organization

Assist with basic drafting of legal documents

Maintain client confidentiality and uphold firm standards.

Qualifications

Experience in Law and Legal Document Preparation

Strong Legal Assistants and Clerical Skills

Diary Management proficiency

Attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent communication and writing skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Prior experience as a legal secretary or assistant preferred

Excellent communication skills and phone demeanor

Demonstrated patience and compassion, especially when interacting with seniors

Strong organizational and computer skills

Ability to work independently with integrity and punctuality

Notary Public license preferred or willingness to obtain promptly

Proficiency in a second language is a plus
