Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized bilingual (Spanish) Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a background in immigration law and have worked in an immigration law firm setting. Speaking English and Spanish is a must.
Duties
Provide administrative support to attorneys, including answering phones, managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and preparing legal documents.
Assist in the preparation of case files and documentation for court proceedings.
Maintain organized electronic filing systems.
Perform data entry tasks accurately to ensure all client information is up-to-date.
Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters.
Draft correspondence and legal documents as required by attorneys.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar administrative role within a law firm.
Familiarity with Immigration Law is Highly Desirable.
Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent research skills to support case preparation and documentation.
High attention to detail for data entry and document management.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
