Position Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Legal Secretary to support our legal and compliance functions. This role involves managing legal documentation, coordinating internal workflows, and assisting in the organization and execution of transactions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and consistent.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, agreements, correspondence, and reports

Maintain organized and up-to-date legal files and records, both digital and physical

Coordinate document execution and distribution in support of client engagements

Assist with compliance documentation and internal regulatory processes

Schedule and organize internal and external meetings for the legal and compliance teams

Taking notes and relaying information accurately

Communicate effectively with bankers, clients, and legal counsel as needed

Assisting with case preparation and research

Assisting with regulatory filings and compliance documentation

Preparing UCC filings, UCC searches, background checks, AML and KYC

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience as a legal secretary, preferably within investment banking, corporate law, transactional law, or real estate law

Strong knowledge of legal terminology, documentation standards, and formatting

High attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), experience with DocuSign is a plus.

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines, navigating ambiguity and conflicting priorities with a problem-solving mindset

Bachelor’s degree preferred; paralegal certification is a plus
