Our client is seeking a Legal Secretary to join their team in Singapore. What You’ll Do

As a Legal Secretary, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of the firm. Your duties will include managing client relationships, overseeing matter management processes, drafting engagement letters, supporting business development activities, and facilitating the use of legal technology. You will also be tasked with planning complex travel arrangements. This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Manage client and matter clearance and opening

Liaise with clients on matter management processes including AML processes

Maintain and draft Engagement letters

Manage associate’s checklist and matter file list

Support Partners, associates, and the BD team with business development activity

Understand and support the use of legal technology, including facilitation and management of solutions applied to a matter where necessary.

Plan complex travel arrangements including flight and hotel bookings, transportation, changes, insurance, visas and other travel related services

What You Bring

The ideal candidate for this Legal Secretary position brings a wealth of experience in a similar role. With at least 5 years of relevant experience under your belt, you have developed strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail. Your proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint allows you to efficiently manage tasks. You are proactive in reminding stakeholders about daily tasks and can work independently when required. Above all else, you have a strong sense of responsibility towards your work.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

Good command of spoken and written English

Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to work independently, take initiative, proactive in reminding stakeholders with daily tasks

Strong sense of responsibility and excellent organizational skills
