We are looking for a personal injury legal assistant to support our busy attorneys and paralegals at our law firm. You’ll be in charge of mailing correspondence, handling health insurance claims, and confirming balances with ER providers. This is a part-time position with an opportunity to go full-time.
Compensation:
$13 – $15 hourly
Responsibilities:
Make calls and respond to emails, contact opposing attorney offices, take dictation, and advise the team of deadlines
Have a working knowledge of medical terminology and conduct legal research with the help of lawyers and paralegals
Qualifications:
Must have experience in use of legal software, case management, and docketing programs
Organizational and communication skills are necessary for this position
Associate’s degree, or some college is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is necessary
Able to meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment
1-2 years of prior experience in a personal injury law firm as a secretary or administrative assistant
