Paralegal
The paralegal provides direct assistance to the Legal Department by being organized, detail oriented, and managing multiple projects simultaneously. The position requires a strong ability to analyze and communicate effectively. The candidate will be expected to work with counsel to assist with drafting, revising, monitoring, and maintaining a variety of contracts including license agreements, prepare correspondence and prosecute trademark and copyright documents with the USPTO. The position requires a person who can anticipate needs, take initiative and work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced environment. These lists are representative, and additional duties may be added as business conditions dictate.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Contract Management:
Support in-house counsel with document process flow, contract management, contract execution, and file management.
Assist with drafting, tracking versions and obtaining final execution for documents such as contracts, agreements, and other legal correspondence.
Manage legal template library (SharePoint).
Document control, including proof-reading, printing, assembling, signing and completion of legal documents.
Monitor contract deadlines.
Intellectual Property Support:
Assist with drafting/filing new applications, responding to office actions and managing calendar of various intellectual property filings.
Conduct research and due diligence for intellectual property enforcement, including executing take down documentation.
Draft authorization and release letters.
Corporate Governance:
Assist with drafting corporate resolutions and board materials, maintaining corporate records and ensuring compliance with multi-state and federal regulations.
Administrative Support – Business & Legal Affairs:
Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisors.
Assists with requests from other departments and outside law firms/vendors when needed.
Administrative accounting matters which include invoice processing, new vendor set up and debit note issuance.
Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.
Assists in the process of legal research.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Paralegal Certificate or a minimum of three years’ experience in the legal profession.
EXPERIENCE AND WORK REQUIREMENTS
Consumer product and intellectual property experience preferred.
