Role Description The Legal Recruiting and Administrative Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in San Diego, CA. This position supports attorney and staff recruiting by coordinating job postings, screening applications, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and assisting with onboarding processes. The role also provides day-to-day administrative support, including managing calendars, organizing files, preparing correspondence, maintaining databases, and assisting with timekeeping or billing-related tasks as needed. The coordinator will liaise with hiring managers and firm leadership to track staffing needs, maintain recruiting metrics, and help ensure a positive candidate and employee experience. This role requires a detail-oriented, organized professional who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced litigation environment while maintaining confidentiality and a high level of professionalism.
Qualifications
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, including calendar management, document preparation, and records maintenance.
- Experience coordinating recruiting activities such as posting positions, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and assisting with onboarding.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, staff, and candidates.
- Comfort with office technology and software, including Microsoft Office or similar tools; experience with applicant tracking or HR systems is a plus.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and to manage competing priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Prior experience in a law firm, legal services, or professional services environment preferred; familiarity with trust and estate litigation is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, legal studies, or a related field preferred.
Compensation: $65,000 – $82,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications, plus potential performance-based bonus opportunities.
