The Attorney Recruiting Specialist is responsible for supporting the firm’s attorney hiring efforts, including law student recruitment, lateral hiring, and onboarding. This role involves coordinating recruitment programs, managing candidate communications, and collaborating with hiring partners, law schools, and search firms to attract top legal talent.
Key Responsibilities:
Attorney Recruitment & Hiring:
Assist in the execution of the firm’s law student and lateral attorney hiring strategies.
Coordinate all aspects of the summer associate program, on-campus interviews (OCI), and callback interviews.
Maintain and manage applicant tracking systems and recruitment databases.
Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates, law schools, and search firms.
Onboarding & Integration:
Facilitate the onboarding and orientation process for new attorneys.
Work closely with HR, professional development, and administrative teams to ensure smooth transitions.
Monitor and support the integration of new attorneys into the firm’s culture and practice groups.
Program Coordination & Event Planning:
Organize recruitment events, including networking receptions, panel discussions, and interview programs.
Partner with law schools and external organizations to enhance the firm’s visibility and branding.
Assist in planning and executing the summer associate program, including social and professional development activities.
Data Management & Reporting:
Track recruitment metrics, trends, and hiring outcomes.
Prepare reports and analyze hiring statistics to improve recruitment strategies.
Maintain compliance with hiring policies and diversity initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree required; JD or experience in legal recruiting preferred.
2+ years of experience in attorney recruiting, law firm recruiting, or legal professional development.
