Job Description
We are looking for a Paralegal Assistant to join our team and provide administrative and legal support to our attorneys. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and have a strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures. Responsibilities include researching legal documents, preparing court documents, filing documents with the court, and providing general administrative support. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process and input new client matters and documentation into the Firm’s case management system
Prepare routine engagement letters and manage their distribution
Request, follow up and obtain medical records/bills related to client treatment
Verify, confirm, and document account balances with medical personnel
Prepare and maintain both hard-copy and electronic files, ensuring their accuracy and completeness
Copy, scan, and organize case documentation for paralegal files
Perform clerical and administrative tasks such as word processing, filing, copying, and scanning, ensuring their accuracy and timeliness
1 year experience as a administrative/legal assistant (Required)
Must be MS Office Proficient (Required)
Prepare routine engagement letters and manage their distribution (Required)
1 year experience working with a personal injury firm (Preferred)Show more
