A Federal Law Firm located off Elmwood Avenue in the downtown area of Columbia, South Carolina. We are a high-volume small business with two additional offices in Greenville and Charleston, South Carolina. We have been in operation for over twenty years and carry a high reputation for our efficiency and attention to detail in the legal world.

Currently, we are seeking to employ individuals who resemble a high work ethic, manner of discipline, and ability to speak and explain certain legal and administrative details to clients. Even further, we are seeking organized individuals who have the inclination to learn new material and are able to apply these skills under high-stress circumstances. We operate under a team-centered workplace model where respect and positivity are a priority in the everyday workplace.

Seeing that we hold a high standard, here are some qualifications that we require for employment at Moss & Associates:

At least 18 years of ago
U.S Citizen or ability to legally work in the United States
High School Diploma (minimum)
At least 2-4 years in the customer service field
No felonies or crimes related to violence, sexual misconduct, or theft
Reliable means of transportation
Healthy track record of past employment
Ability to work 40 hours a week
Ability to deal with high-stress circumstances and maintain a manner or professionalism
Must have basic experience in computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Drive, Outlook, formatting, printing, and scanning
Basic Math
Attention to detail with set rules and procedures
Ability to keep an organized/neat workplace
Keep up with a high yielding demand of work
Proficient in advanced reading, writing, and legible handwriting skills
Proficient in answering and placing phone calls

What we look for in a candidate:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities or English
Civil Law experience (at least 2 years)
Leadership experience
Confidence in speaking
Legal writing ability
Able to interpret legal documents
Past employment at another law firm
Court Filing (ECF/PACER)
Law school student
Willingness to deal with stressed clients
Knowing foreign language(s)
Experience with payment software such as QuickBooks
Management experience
Notary Public
Understanding of financial infrastructures
Drive and motivation to excel in the workplace
