Our client is a leading i-gaming company headquartered in Singapore, committed to delivering innovative gaming solutions worldwide. They are expanding our operations into Romania and are looking for an experienced Legal Project Manager to help establish and manage their presence in this vibrant market.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of local legal regulations, have a solid network with local service providers, and be adept at project management, compliance, and operational processes. This role will involve setting up the new office, creating a legal identity in Romania, and ensuring that all business operations comply with local laws.

Responsibilities

– Develop and implement a strategic plan for establishing the company’s identity and operations in Romania.

– Collaborate with executive leadership to align regional strategies with global business objectives.

– Navigate local legal regulations related to i-gaming and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and licensing requirements.

– Build and maintain relationships with local legal counsel, regulatory authorities, and service providers.

– Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process of legal and operational staff for the new office.

– Ensure all company policies and practices adhere to local regulations and industry standards.

– Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to deadlines.

– Conduct regular training and workshops to ensure the team is informed about legal updates and compliance requirements.

– Monitor the legal landscape and advise stakeholders on potential implications for business operations.

Requirements

– Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal project management role, preferably in the i-gaming or technology sectors.

– Strong knowledge of Romanian legal regulations pertaining to gaming and data protection.

– Proven track record of managing complex projects within established timelines and budgets.

– Excellent networking skills with a robust contact list of local legal service providers and regulatory bodies.

– Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

– Fluent in Romanian and English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

– Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field; a Master’s degree or additional legal certifications is a plus.
