Job Description
Law Office of Kandell, Kandell & Petrie is currently seeking a pre-litigation paralegal to join our growing property insurance practice. Position is presently remote and can be either part-time or full-time.
RESPONSIBILITIES would include:
Assisting attorneys and clients with intake and onboarding.
Coordinating and scheduling client and adjuster appointments.
Interviewing clients about their property damage claims.
Carefully reviewing and keeping track of new cases and following up with potential new clients.
Answering phones and directing clients and adjusters.
Enter data in case management system.
Opening claims with insurance companies.
Reviewing files for status and communicating with attorney about claim direction.
Desired Skills:
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks;
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written);
Ability to self-manage and meet deadlines;
Requirements:
No industry specific experience required – personality and professional demeanor are more important
Proficiency with MS Word and Mac
Ability to work independently
