This is a Legal Operations role for someone who enjoys building, improving and optimising how a legal team actually functions.

Why this role exists
This in-house legal team operates in a fast-moving, multi-site environment with a high volume of work flowing through it.
As the business continues to grow, there is a clear need for someone to take ownership of the legal function from an operational perspective — improving how work is captured, tracked, delivered and continuously refined.
This role sits at the centre of legal operations — driving efficiency, improving systems, and enabling the legal team to operate at a higher level.
The role
You will take ownership of how the legal team runs day-to-day, with a strong focus on systems, process improvement and operational efficiency.
This includes:
- Designing and managing legal intake processes to ensure work is triaged, prioritised and allocated effectively
- Owning and optimising matter and contract management systems, including data integrity, reporting and lifecycle visibility
- Improving document workflows, automation and execution processes to reduce friction and manual handling
- Developing and maintaining templates, playbooks and clause libraries to streamline repeat work
- Supporting the rollout and optimisation of legal tech tools, including AI-enabled solutions
- Identifying inefficiencies and proactively implementing process improvements across the legal function
- Building self-service tools and resources to empower internal stakeholders and reduce reliance on the legal team
- Supporting transaction activity from an operational perspective (e.g. data rooms, document coordination, workflow management)
About you
This role is suited to someone who is genuinely interested in Legal Operations — not just legal support.
You are likely to be:
- A legal operations professional, senior paralegal, or systems/process-focused legal team member
- Experienced in an in-house environment or similarly fast-paced setting
- Naturally process-driven, with a mindset focused on continuous improvement
- Comfortable working with legal systems, reporting tools and evolving tech (including AI tools)
- Someone who enjoys building better ways of working — not just maintaining existing ones
- Proactive, solutions-focused and confident taking ownership of how things are done
