About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented young Lawyer undergoing the compulsory National Youth Service Corps to join our growing legal team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent law graduate to gain practical experience in a fast-paced Fin-Tech environment. The Lawyer will provide support to the legal team in various aspects of legal operations, research, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices, particularly within the fintech space (e.g., dispute resolution and litigation)
Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including affidavit to show cause in response to garnishee proceedings
Support the development and implementation of legal training programs to ensure general, company-wide adherence to relevant laws and regulations guiding fintechs in Nigeria
Maintain and organize legal records and documentation, both physical and electronic
Collaborate with other departments within the company to provide legal support and guidance
Prepare and compile minutes of meeting on legal or company matters as may be required from time to time
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Team Lead, Dispute Resolution
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and BL
Currently serving in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme
Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Demonstrated interest in the Financial Technology space and the FinTech industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
