We're looking for a dedicated Legal Officer with a passion for social justice to join our team in Hong Kong. Key Responsibilities
1. Legal Casework Management
- Manage cross-border casework aligned with JWB’s mission
- Conduct outreach activities to raise awareness of JWB’s cross-border casework programme
- Support efforts to optimise casework processes
2. Stakeholder Engagement & Communications
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including law firms, NGOs, government agencies, and academic institutions
- Assist in content creation for communications materials, such as newsletters, social media posts, and website updates, to showcase our impact
- Manage volunteers to further JWB’s mission
3. Organisational Support
- Assist in writing grant proposals and preparing timely, accurate reports for funders
- As part of a small and agile team, provide flexible support to other organisational needs as they arise
Qualifications & Experience
1. Qualifications
- Bachelor of Law degree, or relevant degree/experience
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the non-profit sector, legal services, or a related field
- Language requirements: English and Chinese
- Must have the right to live and work in Hong Kong

- Strong interpersonal skills and can work effectively and respectfully in an international environment
- Willingness to take initiative and adapt to evolving challenges
- Self-directed and able to follow through on tasks and responsibilities independently
Terms of engagement
- Full-time
- 15 days paid annual leave, in addition to public holidays
- Remuneration: HKD18,000-21,000 per month, depending on experience
- Occasional overseas travel may be required as part of our work
