About The Role
As a Legal Officer, you are responsible to manage all aspects of legal drafting and review related to leasing agreements, whether representing the company as a tenant or a landlord. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with legal standards and mitigate risks associated with leasing transactions.
What will you be doing?
Draft, review, and negotiate leasing agreements and associated documents for both tenant and landlord scenarios.
Conduct thorough legal research to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding leasing agreements.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including property management, finance, and compliance teams, to align legal strategies with business objectives.
Provide legal advice on leasing-related matters, including rights and obligations of parties, terminations, renewals, and amendments.
Analyze and assess risks associated with leasing agreements and propose solutions to mitigate those risks.
Maintain and organize a comprehensive database of all leasing agreements and relevant documentation.
Assist in dispute resolution and legal proceedings related to leasing agreements as necessary.
Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations affecting leasing agreements and the real estate market.
What do we look for?
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a legal role, with a focus on real estate, commercial leasing, or contract law.
Proven experience in drafting and negotiating leasing agreements, both as a tenant and landlord.
Strong knowledge of real estate law, leasing regulations, and contractual obligations.
Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively to non-legal stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
