Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced and highly skilled Corporate Legal Officer- Civil in our legal department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all legal aspects of our real estate business, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and providing strategic legal advice to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
1.   Legal Advisory:
o  Provide legal advice and guidance on civil law matters, including property disputes, contract issues, and litigation.
o  Interpret and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
2.   Contract Management:
o  Draft, review, and negotiate various types of contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
o  Ensure all contracts are legally sound and protect the company’s interests.
3.   Dispute Resolution:
o  Handle civil litigation cases, including preparing legal notices, pleadings, and representing the company in court.
o  Manage dispute resolution processes, including arbitration and mediation.
4.   Legal Compliance:
o  Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable civil laws and regulations.
o  Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations.
5.   Documentation and Record Keeping:
o  Maintain accurate and organized records of all legal documents, case files, and correspondence.
o  Prepare and submit regular reports on legal activities and case status.
6.   Coordination and Liaison:
o  Coordinate with external legal counsel and other stakeholders as required.
o  Liaise with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and other relevant parties on legal matters.
Qualifications:
·       Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
·       Strong knowledge of civil laws, regulations, and legal procedures.
·       Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
·       Proficiency in legal research and legal drafting.
·       Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
·       Strong ethical standards and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
·       Master’s degree in Law (LLM) or a related field.
·       Experience in the Real Estate sector.
·       Familiarity with arbitration and mediation processes.
