Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Legal Officer based in Lagos, Nigeria. The Legal Officer will be responsible for managing legal affairs, preparing legal documents, drafting and reviewing contracts, and providing legal consultations. The role also includes ensuring compliance with business laws and regulations and advising on contract law-related matters. As a critical member of the team, the Legal Officer will contribute to safeguarding the organization's interests through consistent and professional legal guidance.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Business Law and ensuring compliance with legal standards and regulations
- Strong expertise in Law and Legal Consulting to provide sound legal advice and representation
- Experience in Legal Document Preparation, including contracts, agreements, and company policies
- Knowledge of Contract Law and the ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts effectively
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Advanced degree in Law (LL.B or equivalent); professional certification is an advantage
- Familiarity with Nigerian legal and regulatory frameworks; industry experience is a plus
