Major duties and responsibilities:

Legal Function:

Ensure a legal service to the various departments of the Bank such as legal review (contract review) and legal advice

Manage the relations with external lawyers and outsourcing of complex legal work to them

Performing a continuous regulatory Watch” and legislation inventory

Review and update legal procedures and policies

Prepare Legal Report to HQ

Legal research on ad-hoc topics

2. Compliance Function:

Transaction Monitoring and analysis

Analysis of sanction screening alerts

Secretary of the CRAC (customer relationship acceptance committee), assist Head of Compliance for the meeting agenda and meeting minutes.

Requirements:

Education background in Law

Qualified under Belgian law (or passed the Belgian Bar exam)

Good language skills in English, French or Dutch.

Good team worker
