Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents for various financial transactions, including loans, project finance, and Islamic finance.
Provide legal support for corporate, trade finance, and treasury products, and assist in rolling out new products.
Manage litigation and dispute resolution, including mediation and negotiations, to protect the organization’s interests.
Advise on legal risk,
regulatory compliance
, and assist in due diligence processes for new products.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop and standardise legal agreements in line with best practices.
Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations and provide guidance on their impact on the business.
Minimum Requirements:
At least 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in banking and finance law, ideally with experience in both in-house and law firm environments.
Strong background in corporate finance, trade finance, and treasury products, with specific knowledge of UAE and DIFC legal procedures.
Ability to manage complex legal matters autonomously, while collaborating with senior stakeholders for more
challenging
issues.
Ideally bilingual in Arabic and English, with familiarity in common law jurisdictions.
Prior experience in mediation and litigation is essential.
