Role Overview
You’ll serve as in-house legal lead, overseeing commercial contracts, corporate matters, and regulatory coordination across LATAM. Working closely with top-tier external counsel, you’ll build internal legal structures that balance speed and compliance.
Responsibilities
Contract Review & Management
Draft, review, and negotiate merchant, vendor, and partnership agreements
Manage contract templates and negotiation playbooks
Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Finance to align legal terms with business needs
Multi-Country Legal Operations
Coordinate with external counsel in all five countries
Track and maintain regulatory compliance obligations
Oversee corporate registrations, employment law issues, and IP protections
️ Corporate Legal Support
Manage corporate governance processes (company records, legal filings)
Ensure corporate hygiene and alignment with local legal requirements
Collaborate with finance and operations teams to support internal controls
⚖️ Risk & Compliance
Implement KYC/AML, data privacy, and internal compliance policies
Advise on legal risk in product launches, merchant onboarding, or new markets
Help scale internal legal processes with tooling and education
✅ Requirements
JD/law degree from a LATAM country; licensed to practice
4 -5 years of experience (law firm + in-house/startup exposure)
Strong command of commercial contracts, LATAM corporate law, and regulatory coordination
Fluent in Spanish and English
Proactive, pragmatic, and business-oriented
Bonus Points
Experience in fintech, payments, e-commerce, or SaaS
Familiarity with AML, PCI DSS, data privacy, and LATAM fintech laws
Legal ops experience (templates, workflow tools, CLM)
