  • Independently manage projects and transactions undertaken by the Company or its controlled subsidiaries.
  • Identify new and emerging legal and regulatory issues that may affect Tune Protect Group’s businesses in locally and abroad. Specifically, provide advice related to restructuring of legal entities for strategic business decisions.
  • Provide legal advice to entities within the Group (where required) on operational matters, including areas of Industrial Relations, contract negotiations, product disclosures etc. This includes negotiating and drafting commercial contracts, power of attorney, indemnity, affidavit and various types of agreements, drafting and verifying legal documents, handing arbitration/litigation cases etc if required.
  • Prepare, draft, vet and negotiate legal documents and agreements – including onshore, offshore, and cross-border documentation.
  • To provide day-to-day legal support to management and various departments.
  • To identify and assess legal issues and risks arising from the Company’s commitments and transactions, and advice on the legal impact and formulate appropriate resolutions.
  • To monitor compliance by Company of applicable law and regulations.
  • To assist the Head of Legal where required.
  • Manage and liaise with external counsel, counterparties, authorities, and other Tune companies.
  • To provide and coordinate legal solutions in line with the Company’s commercial requirements and strategies.
  • To conduct legal research on various topics in different jurisdictions.
  • Manage dispute resolution process

Job Requirement

  • Degree/tertiary/professional qualification in Law.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience preferably from insurance/financial services, and/or with listing company experience or audit background.
  • Proven experience as a legal counsel in insurance/financial services
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures
  • Full comprehension of the influences of the external environment of a corporation
  • Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies
  • Sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and information
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity
