As we grow and innovate in a highly regulated industry, we’re looking for a Legal Manager to lead our legal and regulatory strategy. This role is key to ensuring compliance, managing risks, and supporting business growth. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to make sure legal considerations are part of every decision, helping the company succeed while protecting its interests.
Accountabilities
Licensing & Contract Management
- Lead efforts to secure licenses (if any) for BNPL or potential businesses.
- Draft and review contracts and legal documents, identify risks and provide advice to internal teams on compliance and potential liabilities.
- Support in contract negotiations to minimize legal risks exposure and handle disputes arising from contractual agreements (if any)
Legal Consultation & Compliance
- Provide legal advice to senior leadership, helping guide key decisions, partnerships, and business moves.
- Stay on top of changes in regulations that affect the business (banking, payment, data privacy, cybersecurity, ..)
- Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate compliance gaps, ensure company-wide adherence to regulatory requirements.
Government & External Affairs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, regulatory agencies, and industry associations.
- Represent the company in industry associations and trade organizations, promoting the company’s interests and staying connected to key trends.
- Manage disputes with regulators, working to resolve issues and keep the company’s reputation intact.
Qualification & Experiences
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Law (Master's or legal practice certificate is a plus).
Experience & Domain Expertise:
- 5+ years of experience in legal, ideally in the financial services/banking industry, with a solid understanding of Vietnamese regulations, especially in financial services and data protection.
- Experience in licensing, regulatory compliance, and risk management, with a focus on supporting business growth.
- Strong business mindset, with the ability to make legal strategies work for the company’s success.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal topics clearly to senior leadership and other teams.
