About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Legal Advisor / Legal Manager to support legal, commercial, and regulatory matters across energy and infrastructure projects. The role involves providing practical legal advice, managing contracts, supporting project development activities, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
The ideal candidate is commercially minded, able to work independently, and comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams in a project-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements.
- Provide legal support for project development, procurement, financing, and operational activities.
- Advise on regulatory compliance, licensing, and legal risk management.
- Support contract negotiations with clients, contractors, vendors, and business partners.
- Assist with corporate governance, board matters, and company secretarial requirements.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel on disputes and specialized legal matters.
- Provide practical legal advice to business stakeholders and project teams.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting business operations.
RequirementsMandatory
- Called to the Malaysian Bar.
- Minimum 5–7 years of legal experience.
- Strong experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
- Experience supporting projects within Energy, Infrastructure, Utilities, EPC, or Industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and provide business-oriented legal advice.

- Experience with:
- EPC Agreements
- Power Purchase Agreements (PPA)
- Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Agreements
- Joint Venture (JV) Agreements
- Procurement and vendor contracts
- Financing and project-related agreements
- Exposure to renewable energy, power generation, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
