Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive Legal Manager to facilitate the end-to-end legal strategy for our real estate portfolio. From initial project structuring and licensing to construction, leasing, and divestment, you will be the legal backbone of our development lifecycle.
Job Description:
- Proactively lead/ cooperate with Investment Management and relating functions on the planning, structuring, licensing and execution of various real estate projects.
- Manage the delivery of legal advice and services to the business throughout the development life cycle, including acquisition, structuring and partnering, finance,planning and delivery, construction, sales & marketing, leasing, dispute management,regulatory matters and insurance, divestments and restructure.
- Assess, advise and manage legal risks and/or potential exposures for real estate and real estate related business.
- Prepare, draft, and analyze contracts and negotiate contract terms related to a variety of customer, vendor, trade, commercial, financial, and operational matters to protect Frasers’ legal and business interests. Contracts shall be in both English and Vietnamese.
- Liaise with specialist external counsels as and when required.
- Deliver trainings on legal topics relevant to the business, and advise business on legal trends and developing areas of law.
- Any other reasonable tasks assigned by Head of Legal or Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or above) in law.
- Professional familiarity with Law on Housing, Land Law, Law on Real Estate Business, Law on Construction, Law on Enterprise, Law on Investment and their implementing decrees and circulars.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience from law firm, in-house or government legal advisor, focusing on matters related to real estate, land issues and construction.
- Prior experience at a real estate developer is a huge advantage.
- Strong fiduciary focus.
- Effective interpersonal and cross-organizational communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to be versatile, pragmatic and creative in identifying and assessing risks, and developing sustainable, practical solutions that balance business and legal considerations.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new issues and subject areas quickly, manage competing priorities and maintain good judgement, sense of humor and focus when working in a fast paced environment.
- Proficient in Vietnamese and English.
